Vernon Lee Leslie Jr.

Vernon Lee Leslie Jr., age 59, of Middletown, passed away on December 31, 2019. He was born on July 27, 1960 to Vernon Leslie Sr. and Judy Brooks in Anderson, Indiana.

Vernon loved to spend time with his family whenever he could. He enjoyed camping and sitting around the campfire with his grandchildren and fishing. Vernon had a heart of gold and could make anyone laugh. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Vernon is survived by his mother Judy Brooks of Pendleton; sister Kay (Bill) Day of Middletown; brother John (Tari) Hendricks of Anderson; brother Michael (Meagan) Leslie of Alma, GA; brother Steven (Kristie) Leslie of Pearson, GA: stepbrothers William “Bud” Brooks of Surprise, AZ, Tim Brooks of Peoria, IL, Joe Brooks of Rockford, IL, Rusty (Chris) Brooks of Talrosa, NM; several aunts and uncles; partner Tina Miller of Middleton; step-grandkids Jadelynn, Elijah, and Kenleigh; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in passing by his father Vernon Leslie Sr., and step-father Russell Brooks.

A visitation will be held on January 8, 2020 at 12pm with a funeral service beginning at 1pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Service – Anderson. Burial of cremated remains will take place on January 14. 2020 at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
