Viola Mae Harris

Viola Mae (Hillman) Harris, 83, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 6, 2018. She was born on January 21, 1935 to the late John and Christine Hillman.

Viola attended church at Ritter Avenue Free Methodist Church. She liked to read or listen to the Bible. Viola also liked to knit while relaxing happily in her home.

Viola is survived by her children, Roxanne Prosser, and John (Joan) Harris; grandchildren, Angie Herzog, Joe Prosser, Jennie Mrozik, Robert Harris and Laurie Harris; 9 great grandchildren; as well as 4 great great grandchildren; along with siblings, Charlotte Riddle, Clara Alberta Kennedy and Tom Hillman.

Viola is preceded in death by her parents, mentioned above; and her son, Richard Lee Harris.

Visitation will be from 10am to 12noon on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue. A graveside service will be at approx. 12:30pm on Wednesday at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10699 E. Washington Street, with burial to follow.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
