Virginia Lee Davenport

Virginia Lee Davenport, born on May 26, 1934, passed away on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at the age of 87.

Virginia is predeceased by her parents Richard and Dorothy Beckley, her husband Bill Raymond Davenport, her brother Richard Beckley, her sister Phillis Scroggins, her daughter Beverly Bailey, her son Raymond Davenport, and her granddaughter Jaqueline Delp.

Left to cherish her memory is her sister Linda Glotfelty, her daughter Deborah Turner, her grandchildren Jennifer Gilbert/Delp, Jason Turner, Joseph Turner, Justin Delp, Jeralee George, Raymond Davenport, and her 11 great grandchildren.

Virginia was a very hard working, independent women. She loved her family fiercely and would lend out a helping hand to anyone. She will always be remembered by her wittiness and her love for games of chance, such as poker and horse betting. She was like a card shark at the tables, she would win her opponents money and even take their pennies. She loved watching Nascar and finishing an intricate jigsaw puzzle. Virginia lived an exuberant life and will be missed dearly.
