Virginia Rose Lazenby

Virginia Rose (Sears) Lazenby went to be with her Lord and Savior on April 9, 2019. She was born on February 17, 1931 to George and Clytie Sears in Sullivan County, IN. Virginia married Russell Eugene Lazenby on January 8, 1956 who preceded her in 2007.

Virginia was a loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend to many. Virginia’s love for her Lord brought many to Christ.

Virginia is survived by her son Jeffrey Russell (Mary Ann) Lazenby; granddaughters Aleigha (Andy) Clifford, Cara (Brian) Kieffer; step-granddaughters Cassie Eller, Chelsey Parr, and Allie Parr; sister Candy (Brad) Power; brothers George (Jane) Sears and Greg (Becky) Sears; 6 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and special caregivers Brittany Pratcher and Sue Silvey.

She is preceded in death by her parents, sisters Carolyn (Dalton) Brooks and Georgia Jeaneane Jacobs (Gordon)

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Richland Township Fire Department or the Alzheimer’s Association.

A visitation will be held on Friday April 12, 2019 from 10am-12pm with a funeral service beginning at 12pm at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services – Anderson. Burial will take place at East Maplewood Cemetery.
