W Joe Masner Sr
Joe was born on January 14, 1944 to Helen (Rush) and Thomas Masner. Surrounded by his family, he passed away December 2, 2018 from complications to cancer.
Joe was born, raised, lived and worked in West Indianapolis all of his life. Joe graduated from Assumption grade school and Washington HS. He began working at WI Fruit Market at the age of 9 and continued until it closed. He worked at and eventually owned A1 Tax Service on West Morris St for many years.
Joe was preceded in death by his mother Helen and father Thomas, step fathers Harry Campbell and Victor Orsborn, brother Tom, and Great grandson Bentley Ryan.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Mary Ann Masner (Long). Children, Joe II (Gina) and Becky Faulk, Grandchildren; Johnathon (Rachael), Tim, and Chris (Melody) Faulk, Katie Faulk-Burress (Kyle), Jessica Alltop (Ethan), Zachary and Joshua Masner. Six great grandchildren; Isaak, Tristyn, Gracie, Timothy, Braxton, and Everly. Sister, Mary Gin, brothers, Jim Masner, Phil and Mike Campbell, nephew, Rick Gin, niece Andrea Owens, and many other nieces and nephews.
The visitation for Joe is Thursday, December 6th from 4-8PM at Legacy Funeral Home, 1604 W. Morris St. A funeral Mass will be presided over by Fr. Glenn O’Conner at St Joseph Catholic Church on Friday, December 7th at 10AM. Interment will be immediately following the Mass at Floral Park Cemetery on Holt Rd.
Joe asked that in lieu of flowers contributions be made to the St. Joseph Catholic Church’s Feed the Hungry program.
