Walter G. Overton

U.S. Navy and Korean War Vet 1951 -1953, Walter G. Overton, who married Rosemary Grace Beasley Overton.  Walters career at General Motors was from 1953 – 1990.  In 1960 he began refereeing football and basketball as well as coaching baseball and your golf called first start.

He was a avid golfer and decided to take a test to become a PGA clubmaker and repair man. He past the test and built his own golf club shop and up until his death he was repairing clubs.  Walter passed away at home on September 27, 2020 and he will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Survivors, are his wife, Rosemary Overton, daughters, Tamera Steichen, Penny Yates and son, Glen Overton.  Grandchildren, Chanelle Ray, Wendy Lynch, Ryan Yates, Jamie Yates, Rachel Rietow, Brittney Overton, Jenny Overton, great-grandchildren are, Carlos Ray, Lance Overton, Josiah Overton, Alex Lynch, and Evie Yates.

Services were entrusted to Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Indianapolis.
