Wanda M. Groves

Passed away January26, 2017 in her own home. A lifelongresident of Lawrence, she was born on July 3, 1927 to Francis A. Hartman andRema I. McCoy Hartman. She spent most ofher adult life as a homemaker, and also working at Cooper Gifts and in FoodService for the Lawrence Township Schools.

She is preceded indeath by: her parents; her husband of 57 years, Vernon Dean Groves; and herdaughter, Krista F. Groves DeWitt.

She is survived by:daughter, Diane G. Smith; sons, Wes Groves and David Groves; grandson, Jake(Scena) Groves; and great-granddaughters, Natty and Emmy; and granddog, Cody.

Visitation will be from 4pm to 8pm on Tuesday, January 31,2016 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services – Lawrence, 5215 N. ShadelandAvenue. The service will be at 10am onWednesday, February 1, 2017 at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest at Washington ParkEast Cemetery, Indianapolis, Indiana. Inlieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’sAssociation.
