Ward “Butch” B. Staley, age 65, of Anderson, passed away on March 1, 2020 unexpectedly. He was born on October 23, 1954 to the late Joe and Maxine Staley.
Butch served in the United States Marine Corp for a period, and then served many years in the National Guard. He was a hard worker, working as an automotive detailer. He worked for the Anderson Transit System for many years. You could usually find him watching Nascar races or riding his Harley. Butch loved being with his family and friends and would do anything for anyone. He was extremely kind-hearted and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Butch is survived by his siblings Vicki Brooks (Joe), Pam Sweet (Dan), and Tim Staley (Addy); several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dog Mouse.
A visitation will be held on Friday March 6, 2020 from 11-2pm with a funeral service beginning at 2pm. Burial will take place at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Pastor Ed Purciful will be officiating.
