Obituary for Wayne Edward Teeters

Wayne Teeters passed away at home after a brief illness on Sunday, February 24th, 2019. He was born in Anderson, IN on January 9, 1940. He was a graduate of Madison Heights High School, class of 1958 and spent many years working and traveling before settling back in Anderson in the early 1980’s. Wayne worked in the automotive industry for most of his career before retiring from Weidner Chevrolet and moving to Panama City, FL in 2001. Wayne is survived by his brother, James Teeters and sister, Judy (Fred) Guilmire; his children Steven Wayne Stottlemyer, Richard Kip Stottlemyer, Michelle (Jason) Leonhardt, Melissa (Tony) Salyer and James William (Jeni-Bruce) Teeters; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; loving nieces and nephews and many other children/grandchildren that refer to him as “Daddy Wayne”. Wayne was preceded in death by his Father, James L. Teeters in 1998 and Mary Ellen (Davis) Teeters in 2001.

A celebration of life will be held at Legacy Cremation and Funeral Services on Saturday, March 9th from 2:00pm – 4:00pm. A private graveside service will be held at Wayne’s final resting place at Anderson Memorial Cemetery.
