Willard Rae Barnett

Willard “Rae” Barnett, affectionately known as Rae, 73, passed away on October 23, 2024, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on July 16, 1951, in Seymour, Indiana to Eugene Robert and Alta (Wolka) Barnett. His fondness for collecting Coca Cola memorabilia reflected his hardworking spirit as he worked for the company through much of his career.

He was a collector with many interests, including cards, cars, and antiquing. Rae found joy in the simple pleasures, whether it was engaging in yard work, mowing the grass, or exploring flea markets and yard sales. His eagerness to help others was a hallmark of his character, and he often lent a hand wherever help was needed.

Rae is survived by his children, Shannon Barnett, Eric (Marcel Faenzi) Barnett, and Jason (Megan) Barnett; grandchildren, Samantha Barnett and Vance Barnett; and brother, Barron (Martha) Barnett. His love for those close to him was evident in every aspect of his life. He is preceded in death by his parents, listed above; and wife, Maria Barnett.

Memorial services will be held on November 1, 2024, at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services—Lawrence, located at 5215 Shadeland Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46226. Visitation will begin at 5:00 PM, followed by the memorial service at 6:00 PM.
