William 'Bill' Max Elliott

March 5, 1930 — April 3, 2018

William “Bill” Max Elliott, of Indianapolis, IN passed away peacefully at home with his family on Tuesday, April 3, 2018. Bill was born March 5, 1930, in Indianapolis, IN to the late Cecil and Blanche Elliott of French Lick, Indiana. Bill graduated from French Lick High School, then served honorably in the Korean War, where he was in charge of the search lights at night.

Bill married his loving wife of 64 years, Carol Lee, on November 25, 1953. Bill and Carol referred to one another as the “Rooster” and the “Chicken”. They both were blessed with twins, Mark Elliott and Marcie Willhite on October 5, 1955.

Bill's dad, Cecil, remarried after Blanche, Bill's mother died. They had a happy marriage. Wilma had a son Jimmy, now deceased and two daughters Stella and Robie Harris. They had a close relationship and now both sisters have their own families which gave us many happy times at Thanksgiving. Our favorites were Stella's oyster dressing and grandchildren. What fun we had.

Bill is survived by his wife, Carol; twins, Mark and Marcie; granddaughter, Ashleigh Willhite-Gerbers and husband Andrew Gerbers; sisters, Robie Harris and Stella Denbo; loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.

We love you dear Husband, Dad and Grandpa “Pop”, very much, and are at peace that you are now with God.
