William Earl Wright Jr.

William Earl Wright Jr., age 91, of Anderson, passed away on November 9, 2023, in Anderson. He was born on November 17, 1931, in Sheridan, IN.

William was a devout Catholic in every sense of the word. He enjoyed reading his bible and being close in his faith. He was a jack of all trades, truly able to fix anything he came across. He had so many friends and was always willing to help people. He was well-liked by all who knew and loved him.  He was a proud member of the Knights of Columbus for 50+ years. In his free time, he enjoyed bike riding with friends and family, fishing, reading Louis Lamore books, and woodworking. He loved his grandkids and great grandkids deeply, and especially loved spending time with his dog Sadie when she was here. He worked for New York Central Railroad and Delco Remy for many years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

William is survived by his brother Lonnie Marks; children Janet Ellen Gully, Teresa Kay Cross (Gary), William Earl Wright III (Debbie), Rita Jane Bennett (Bruce), Kimberly Lynn Douglas (Andy), Benjamin David Wright, and Christopher Wayne Wright; grandchildren Heather, Autumn, Robin (Mike), Michelle (Matt), Bryanna, William “Billy”, Heather, Amber, Angie, Crystal (Khari), Carrie, Jamie (Daniel), Danny, Amber (Jason), Charlotte, Katelyn, Suzy, Brittany (Pete), Bryan, Christopher Jr. (Hannah), and Shelby; 29 great-grandchildren; 6 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

He is preceded in death by his mother Esther Marks, sister Wilma Adamson, brother Charles D. Wright, sister Donna Hughes, sister Betty Linville, brother George R. Wright, and grandson Andrew.
