William Henry Miller IV, age 75, of Anderson, passed away at his home on April 3, 2020 surrounded by his family. He was born on November 30, 1944 to the late William Miller and Margaret (Langley) Miller.
Bill was a graduate of Wakefield Highschool in Arlington, VA. Post-graduation, Bill enlisted in the United States Navy, then later transferred to the United States Air Force, where he retired after many years of service. Bill loved to spend a lot of his free time watching old westerns and spending time with his grandchildren. He loved to cook and made the best spaghetti sauce. In his earlier years, he and his wife would go dancing as much as they could. Bill worked as a combat arms instructor in the Air Force and often went shooting in his retired years. He was a proud member of the NRA and was a die-hard republican. Bill enjoyed watching the Washington Redskins any chance he could. He was an avid fan and never missed a game. Bill was a loving, outspoken man who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Bill is survived by his wife of 15 years, Bertha Miller; children Maria Hapney, Bill Miller, Ed Whipple (Stacy), Tim Whipple (Natasha), and Jeff Whipple (LeeAnn); grandchildren Randy Miller, Alexander Hapney, Sarah Hapney, Justin Whipple (Maya), Jonathan Whipple, Brandon Whipple (Rebecca), Tyler Whipple, and Daniel Whipple; brother Ken Miller; and great-grandchildren Reaghan Andrew, Emma Whipple, and Noa Whipple.
He is preceded in death by his parents listed above.
Private family services will be held on Friday April 10, 2020 at Legacy Anderson. Burial will take place at Marion National Cemetery.
