Willmar Caldwell Jr., 66, of Indianapolis,Indiana passed away on November 21, 2021. He was born in Wyatt, Missouri on January 7, 1955 to the late Willmar and Dorothy (Benford) Caldwell. Affectionately, known as Will, he graduated from Cairo High School in Cairo, Illinois. Will joined the U.S. Air Force in 1973, where he became an aircraft mechanic and reached the rank of sgt. Later in life, he worked for the Rail Road, as well as other trades throughout the years.
Will loved to make jokes and poke fun. Comedy was a passion of his. As well as writing his own songs. He loved dancing, especially when he had his records on.
He is preceded in death by his parents, mentioned above; along with brother, James Caldwell.
Will is survived by his 3 sons, Marcus Caldwell, Sean Caldwell and Jeff Caldwell; 10 grandchildren ; siblings Rosetta, Margaret, Stella, Terrance, Brenda, Anthony, Janice, Valerie, Rachel, Marilyn, Stanley, Cynthia and Chastity, as well as many other family members, and dear friends of all walks of life from around the globe.
Visitation will be from 2pm to 3pm on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at Legacy Cremation & Funeral Services, 5215 N. Shadeland Avenue, with a service to start at 3pm.
