Obituary for Wilma Lee Jenkins

Wilma L. Jenkins (Hedge) of Indianapolis, IN born May 09, 1952 in Morgan County, IN, went to be with her Eternal Father on Saturday November 28, 2020.  Wilma was a Retail Clerk for Walmart for over 15 years.

Outside of work, Wilma enjoyed doing puzzles, crafts, serving her community, and doing tea parties with the elderly in local nursing homes. She also enjoyed spending time with beloved friends, Bonnie, Nina, Cathy, Norma, and Christina. Also, she enjoyed spending time with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Wilma was preceded in death by her parents Estle Lee Hedge (Father), Ruth Irene Hedge (Mother), Wayne Lewis (Brother), Harry L. Hedge (Brother), Olive Hedge (Sister), and the love of her life Fred (Rusty) A. Jenkins.

Wilma is survived by her brother, Ronald E. Lewis (Marie), two sons, William (Nicole), and Michael (Michelle) Jenkins, nine grandchildren, 6 great grandchildren, and many other friends and family members.

Wilma was a devoted Christian woman and a member of Tuxedo Park Baptist Church, since the early 1980’s. She will be eternally loved and missed by her church family and friends.

In lieu of flowers, Wilma asked that donations be made to Tuxedo Park Baptist Church and specified donations be marked as other and identified as “In memory of Wilma Jenkins”. You may visit the church website to make a donation at www.tpbchurch.org

Funeral services will be private and a Celebration of Life ceremony will be held at a later date to be determined.
